Locking Google Safe Search

by | Nov 12, 2009 | Search Engine

Web is an awesome resource for the instant access of information in the present world. Your child as a students can benefit greatly from the educational material online. Unfortunately, while the nature of the internet permits for the mass dissemination of just about anything, it also means that a significant percentage of what’s available might not be considered appropriate.

Protecting our chldren from the hazards of dangerous and inappropriate material online has been a huge challenge for families and educators since the internet became a part of daily life for the majority.

Web filters are the most common programs that parents and educators employ to try to allow children online without giving them access to everything on the web. The problem was that kids could easily change those settings. Now Google Web Search is allowing parents to lock those settings to make it difficult for kids to bypass the settings.

To change the settings, the parent will have to log into his or her Google account and enter a password. Once the settings have been changed, the Google search engine will change in appearance to indicate that it’s locked. The new page will have large balls in the upper right corner so that parents can see from across the room that their kids are on the safe search page.

Most of the procedures http://cute-n-tiny.com/tag/tufted-dear/ on line levitra and techniques involve risks.

As per Google You can choose from among three SafeSearch settings, Moderate filtering excludes most explicit images from Google Image Search results but doesn’t filter ordinary web search results. This is your default SafeSearch setting; you’ll receive moderate filtering unless you change it.

Strict filtering applies SafeSearch filtering to all your search results including images. No filtering, as you’ve probably figured out, turns off SafeSearch filtering completely. You can also adjust your SafeSearch settings on the Advanced Search or the Advanced Image Search pages on a per search basis. this is good move of Google to block deceitful sites. Lot of more work is required to eradicate this problem.
